Liu Ju
Born into a musical family, Liu Ju began his music education at an early age.? After studying at the subsidiary secondary school of the Central Music Conservatory in 1987, he joined the conducting department of Shanghai Music Conservatory in 1992 and graduated with flying colours in 1997.? As conductor of the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra since his graduation, his repertoire includes Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and The Red Detachment of Women.? In recent years, he has worked with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Folk Ensemble, China Film Orchestra, and Hong Kong Sinfonietta.? He has toured Singapore, Hong Kong and Macao with the orchestra and was invited to perform in the United States in July 2002.
