Zhu Yan

Zhu Yan joined the National Ballet of China in 1995,after graduating from the Beijing Dance Academy.She has danced leading roles in many full-length ballets including Swan Lake,Don Quixote,The Sleeping Beauty,Giselle, Le Corsaire,La Sylphide, The Nutcracker,Raise the Red Lantern,The Fountain of Tears and Sylvia as well as the contemporary ballet repertoire includes Rite of Spring and Etudes.She has also danced principal roles in many Balanchine Ballets. She has won awards at major international ballet competitions including the Special Award at the 6th Paris International Ballet Competition (1994), and the Gold Medal and Special Prize for Artistic Performance of Mrs. President of Bulgaria at the 18th Varna International Ballet Competition (1998). At the invitation of the Royal Swedish Ballet and the Royal New Zealand Ballet, she danced as guest artist in the leading role of La Sylphide(1999), and the principal roles Odette/Odile of Swan Lake (2002) respectively. In 2000, she also performed at a Festival of America.

  Sun Jie

Sun Jie joined the National Ballet of China in 1991, after graduating from the Beijing Dance Academy. His repertoire includes principal roles in full-length ballets: The Red Detachment of Women, Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, Giselle, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, Raise the Red Lantern,Coppelia, La Sylphide, the new version of Fountain of Tears, Sylvia and Act II of The New-Year Sacrifice. He has also danced leading roles in many Balanchine ballets as Allegro Brilliant, Serenade and other ballet works such as Rite of Spring, Butterfly Lovers, Etudes, The Yellow River, Heliotrope, and Variations for Four. In 1992, he was invited to perform at the 3rd Macao International Arts Festival. In 1994, 1998 and 2000, he was invited as Guest Artist to dance in Japan. In June 2002, the Royal New Zealand Ballet invited him as Guest Artist, to dance the Prince in Swan Lake.

  Zhang Jian

Following her graduation from the Beijing Dance Academy in 1996, Zhang joined the National Ballet of China, dancing many principal roles in full-length ballets, including Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, The Red Detachment of Women, La Sylphide, The Nutcracker, Raise the Red Lantern, The new version of Fountain of Tears and Sylvia. Her contemporary ballet repertoire includes The Yellow River and Rite of Spring. She has also danced principal roles in many Balanchine ballets. In 1997, she won the Gold Medal at the 8th Moscow International Ballet Competition. She was invited in 2000 to dance with the Houston Ballet in the United States, performing the leading roles in Romeo and Juliet, Etudes and Three Preludes. In 2001, she was invited for the Gala performance of the 2nd Shanghai International Ballet Competition. In 2001 and 2004, she was invited as guest artist to perform Swan Lake with the Hong Kong Ballet. In May 2002, she was invited as Guest Artist by the Royal New Zealand Ballet for the role of Odette/ Odile in Swan Lake. In April 2004, she performed at a festival of America.
  Wang Qimin

Joining the National Ballet of China in 1999, after graduating from the Beijing Dance Academy, she has danced leading roles in Giselle, The Nutcracker, Raise the Red Lantern, and the company's new version of Coppelia, Swan Lake, The Fountain of Tears, Sylvia and Etudes. She has also danced leading roles in many Balanchine ballets. In 1998, she won a Special Prize at the Pairs International Ballet Competition, and in June 2001, she won the Gold Medal at the 9th Moscow International Ballet Competition. In 2003, she was invited as Guest Artist to perform The Nutcracker by the Hong Kong Ballet.
