Collaborated with artists from Opera National de Paris, the National Ballet of China performed Giselle Act II, Entrelacs, and Don Quixote Act III at Tianqiao Theater on 18th May, 2007. The company’s prima ballerina Wang Qimin and principal dancer Li Jun presented Giselle Act II at first for the fully seated audience. As a couple through years, the two dancers showed great chemistry together, which grabbed the audiences’ hearts near the end. Wang Qimin really brought her character alive on the stage. Entrelacs is a original production with special dance vocabularies and stage design, which brought us to a whole new other world. The avant-garde style of costume perfectly showed all merits of the prima ballerina Zhu Yan, Zhang Jian and the principal girl Meng Ningning. The etoile dancer Aurelie Dupont and young dancer of the company Sheng Shidong danced as a couple in Don Quixote Act III, brought the audience a splendid pas de deux along with other beautiful corps de ballet.
